How do I get into writing poetry /lit/?

just start reading poetry, then start writing poetry

Write prose
Now, replace all nouns with metonyms
Replace all verbs with fancier verbs
Smack that 'enter' a few times till the whole thing looks like a neat skyscraper
Also do this

At First write about what you see.
Now you write of what there should be.
Once you`re done, comes next phase.
Now put that scene on different time and place.
You cant go wrong, if you keep in mind.
Mind is the eye, which truly sees.

Understanding will come your way.
Study hard, and memorize your favorite play.
