japanese john green

Why don't you?
Because he's popular and hasn't been dead for two hundred years

I havent read any of his works. There seems to be a circlejerk of hate around him and was wondering why
I don't hate him.
Never read him.
I have two of his books.
They sit on my shelf, unread.
It's been years.
I wonder if the hate he gets here results in my not reading him.
He's good if you just want a comfy read, most people here are just chimps repeating someone else's opinion without ever reading his works to get that sweet circlejerk validation.

Thats a given
Have yet to find anyone with an actual honest opinion on the man
Usually just get called a shill even though I am indifferent
He's a reverse weeabo. A man who dislikes his own race/nation and has delusions of grandeur about Americanism. His ancestors would've chopped his head off for writing such trite.

He's awesome OP, forget the haters.
>>8773423
called me fat on the street
>>8774155
Dude ran 60 miles in a day once, compared to him you are fat
He's got some good books, but he can sometimes drift into self parody.
>>8773423
literally who-rakami?

After Dark is the only one of his books that sounds like another author trying to sound like Murakami.
Thoughts on noregian wood?

Murakami is OK
I enjoy his works purely because they're all similar, decently written, and comfy as fuck. Judge me for it if you want but I'll continue enjoying the majority of what he writes.
