My dad is a huge Hayek fan so I read a lot of him growing up. I disagree with a lot of the basic tenants of Austrian economics, but I at least enjoyed reading Road to Serfdom because Hayek isn't as smug an asshole as Milton Freidman or Rand. Hayek is the turning point in the history of classic liberal economics - everything after him is pretty much dogshit, but you can still find some interesting gems in Mises, Mill, etc.

Austrian is all theory.
Keynes just recommends saving in times of bounty and spending, even into debt if you have to, when in slumps. It's more humane.
