So, Im looking for a crossplatform app (android and windows) which saves to a cloud for me. Must have pages and word count.
does anything like this exist for free?
>>
fuck the cloud, just write it in .txt and email it to your self.

It does seem like should be a program somewhere doesn't it? Online storage with offline editing where you can upload the updates when you reconnect with the internet.

If something like it doesn't already exist for free, I might write it myself using google docs as a base. It doesn't seem like it would be that difficult.

Dropbox and any editor of choice. I prefer Vim. Sublime text is a bit easier to set up and very customisable.

>Using vim to fucking write prose.
>Using a text editor and not a word processor.

I don't know why anyone does this. It doesn't make you more literary. No publisher wants a shittily formatted piece of crap just because you feel it adds to your credibility on /lit/. If you ever want to get published, you will have to go back in and add the formatting.

All this tells me is that you never really plan to be published.

Plain text is timeless and will not go out of date. Why would you tie yourself down to a piece of software which may be irrelevant in 10 or 20 years? You can format plain text with markdown, pandoc, latex and produce just about any output you can imagine, with far more professional results than Microsoft fucking Word. Vim is lightning fast for editing work and can be configured to any layout desired.

Forgot to mention you can VERSION control plain text with Git for example. This is extremely underrated.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
