K /lit/, I've started to read the Wheel of Time saga today. I'ill be able to do it? What should I expect?
Tedium.
wasting hours and hours on fantasy trash
entire 500+ page books where literally nothing happens
Wheel of Time? More like Waste of Time.

Which isn't trash?

Fantasy is inherently trashy genre, it's obsessed with worldbuilding and telling a story. That doesn't mean it cannot be entertaining, mind you, but it's going to be trashy entertainment.

This. I read this series in middle school, it's entertaining and is very narrative-driven, but beyond book 3, The Dragon Reborn, the series starts to meander. Some time after book 5 or 6, I kept reading it just because I had come that far. Robert Jordan died and never finished the series iirc.

I know it, it was finished by Robert Jordan and a lot of people say that they are between the best books of the whole saga
Most of the books are good tbqh, with the exception of number 10, which is one of the worst books I've ever read I think.

Sorry, I had a little lapsus, I mean Brandon Sanderson

I grew up on these books, from I was 10-11 and onwards. Read every single on of them, most of them several times. Epic fantasy, and I honestly love the books.
But it's trash, read as many as them as you want just don't expect the books to get better past book 3.
