I just read the first paragraph of the translations of The Metamorphosis by Edwin and Willa Muir, Stanley Corngold, Joachim Neugroschel, Stanley Appelbaum, David Wyllie and John R. Williams.
The Muir translation is the best, Williams is garbage. Keep in mind this is only the first paragraph.
