Why can't we respect both continental and analytical philosophy

It all comes from not being able to respect each other and, to an extent, yourself.

Both have their issues, analytical philosophers often are autists and continentals often wrap up bullshit in flowery language.

Because analytic philosophy is not only much older, it's based on logical, unemotional thinking. Approaching truth is only obtained by comparing and contrasting facts. If there was no objective truth, no objective facts, then philosophy and science would be completely irrelevant.

Because continental philosophy is not only easier to write, it's easier to read.

It's tougher to read continental in a analytic way though, that's mainly because continental philosophy literature beats around the bush and tries to obscure propositions.

Philosophy should not be about obscuring, it should be about illuminating. Why not then present your philosophy in the most concise, and logical manner possible?

I believe it is because they are afraid of fallacy, and someone smart who can think for themselves will deconstruct what they are saying if they didn't hide it all in continental bullshit.
