Donna Tart is like genre fiction for people with arts degrees. See also: David Mitchel, Margaret Atwood. Gaiman is a shitty novelist even by the generous standards of genre fic and should stick to comic books. Dan Brown is literally airport tier.
Stephen King is the best of a bad bunch, he's Cervantes compared to the other plebs on that list.
