Not that guy, but "Spanish Literature" refers to literature from Spain.
"English Literature" doesn't refer to works in English but works from England.
It's a national designation rather than a language one. ("Czech Literature" courses usually have Kafka on the syllabus, even though Kafka wrote exclusively in German.)
