don't know shit about him but i liked the book and the game,
im also impressed that he did voice work in the game and it was actually good
Go back to the shadow. Sage and report.
>>8703440
Kind of a dick irl.
>>8703800
care to elaborate?
>>8703805
He just has a reputation for being a rude asshole to people.
>>8703805
>>8703811
He didn't like the last line of the movie adaptation of A Boy and His Dog so when fans begged him to make a sequel, he made a hatchet piece andkilled off victory and had blood run awayhe literally made an epilog for the newest edition of the sequel that explained he was a salty little homo about the movie and ruined the sequel on purpose.
Its more that he has a low tolorence of assholes. And he's an excelent audio performer.

Get Dangerous Visions and a short story collection of his. You won't regret it.
>Asimov records in his memoirs that at the first convention of Science Fiction and Fantasy, a member let loose a cat he had secreted in his pocket: the cat miaowed, Ellison miaowed and the serious oration dissolved in laughter.

>the first convention of science fiction and fantasy
The first SF convention was in 1939 - when Harlan Ellison was 5 years old.

Second there really wasn't 'fantasy' back in those days.
So you have your memory confused with another convention

He also narrates audio book of pic related. Amazingly well tbf

he collected more than two dozen stories for "The Last Dangerous Visions" in 1974, and has been sitting on them EVER SINCE. many of the authors of those stories died of old age waiting for him to publish that book.

it's the Chinese Democracy of science fiction.
the thing i dislike about him is his relentless self-promotion. listen to any interview with him and see how long he can go before mentioning some famous person he claims to know. if you can stand it, check out his collection "The Essential Ellison", which has really bad jokes he wrote when he was fifteen, and TWO introductions and a postscript - mostly about him - for each story.
i sometimes wonder if he jerks off to himself in the mirror.
>>8705692
he is a gadfly, he meets lots of people
