Thoughts on Eliezer Wiesel's /lit/? I must read through this book again for Comm. College, and I have doubts that the book would deliver because of the somewhat short length.

All holocaust books have an impact that's hard to match or stack up against. I didn't like it because I had to read it 3 tines in school. But objectively it's a haunting well written personal saga of loss and perseverance in an unimaginable hell.

Its a good story, the prose is nothing to write home about. He is telling it as it is in plain language and I think it has some literary merit.
