it's an interesting concept delivered in an unique way. I don't feel that it's an amazingly well-written book though.
I'm 35 I probably read it in my early to mid 20s or so.

It's the 'noble savage' myth dusted off and given a new age gloss. It's thought provoking, but ultimately pointless. There is no way back from where we are now, unless you are willing to countenance an age of slaughter and famine unlike anything in recorded history, and quite possibly anything in human archaeology.
