What are some good modern essayists?
I've been reading Schopenhauer, Ludovici, Seneca, de Maistre, de Montaigne, Emerson, but nothing written relatively recently.
I was recommended Sloterdijk, but I'm looking for more.

I like your recommendations, have some of mine:
Ernst Jünger, Armin Mohler, Caspar von Schrenck-Notzing, Alain de Benoist, Karl Steinbach, Revilo Pendelton Oliver.
U-um, I enjoyed the archdruid report.
Christopher Morley is excellent
I love Gass's essay writing style so much. On Being Blue is a wonderful work of art as well as making you consider such a wide range of topics. Derrida's writing style takes some getting used to, but the way he writes essays is certainly unique and interesting

Very interesting recommendation. I was browsing though some old notes of mine, saw the name Armin Mohler several times. Will follow up on this.
Gonna follow this thread watchfully.
