Have any of you read Game Change or Double Down? I know they can't possibly live up to Fear and Loathing, but are they worth reading?
In his final years he was more of a dementia addled Grandpa living secluded on his ranch than the wild and fearless drug taking journalist you like to hype him up as. That's pretty much why he killed himself.
At least we have Matt Taibbi
Thank God!

He's alright, but not nearly as insightful or incisive as Hunter S.

>thank HST there's no more HST
what did you mean by this?
Hunter made me dream of being a journalist back when I was thirteen, going on fourteen. I'm glad I stayed far away from that career path, but I'll always love him for his writings and greater-than-life personality. Additionally, he meant the end of my worrying about going bald.
Thanks for being the glorious freak I needed most.
