just finished Warlock by Oakley Hall. If you liked Blood Meridian give it a try. It definitely has a literary temperament even though it's a western...much like B.M.

You could give a border trilogy a try too. Man...although not as hardcore I loved that series. Another great series that's a real page-turner would be Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry.
