Warrior Cats is a pretty grim series. I don't know why they're so against being kittypets. Their existence is just to fight. They raise their kittens to be soldiers, nothing else.

Why the fuck is this series frequently referenced in /lit/? Have we reached a new level of degradation or what? What's wrong you with you OP? It's time to grow up lad.

It's high literature, retard. I'm sorry you're too moronic to grasp the deep, intricate metaphors, political, social commentary present within the series' narrative just because they are tribes of cats who "talk" (Communicate naturally like all animals.) Leave this board if you cannot appreciate the beauty of this series of novels which show us the horrors as well as peaks of nationalism, gender roles, and cats with superpowers.

It's a popular book series. Why must /lit/ only discuss philosophy? What's wrong with Harry Potter or Warrior Cats or A Series of Unfortunate Events?

Don't compare Harry Potter or Warrior Cats to A Series of Unfortunate Events, which is without doubt the most patrician children's series of the past 50 years or more.
>someone did a redwall clone before me
Goddamn it, I wanted to do a redwall clone.
Fuck, you know what? I'm still gonna do it.

Warrior is nothing like Redwall. It's more like Ratha's Creature or Tailchaser's Song than anything.

Series of Unfortunate Events was awesome. Almost every character was /lit/ as fuck

>Enough /lit/ references to make kids want to read the classics
>Experiments with style simple enough for kids to appreciate but complex enough for adults to learn from
>Genuinely admirable protagonists and complex antagonist
>Plot that never gets dull and teaches lessons without moralising
>Dat final scene
I honestly think Seekers is the better Erin Hunter series by far but it isn't even 1/5th as popular as Warriors. It's a nice series about magical eco-friendly bear cubs.

Damn I fucking miss that series.

>they raise their kittens to be soldiers, nothing else
Isn't that what Plato told us to do? We were also supposed to bathe in mixed company. I don't know why we went the Judeo-Christian route, I think we missed out big time.

This series sounds so cute. Shame I never read it as a kid.

Within the first book at least three cats get killed. It ain't cute.

Yeah, but it has cats :3
