I use the free ones that Book Depository sends. I also sometimes use postcards. I have a few novelty/ironic bookmarks that I've collected over the years as well (religious bookmark from church, sorority bookmark with a cheesy quote on it, you get the idea) that I occasionally use.

And guess what /lit/...

If I find a quote I really like, you want to know what I do?

I underline it in the book, then I dog-ear the bottom of the page so I can find it easy. Then I just leave it like that, lying there all dogeared and creased and penned up.

How does that make you feel /lit/?

The problem with people saying things like this is that those 20 seconds aren't localized, so tearing them out of the day isn't ACTUALLY adding 2 hours to your schedule, since you'll spend that 20 seconds doing nothing. Unless you're cutting out a BUNCH of things per day (or at least set them aside for certain times of the week/month), you're not getting any more useable time.
>>8658442
Anon, that is a weird habit. You're kind of wasting a book that way, even if you don't intend to keep it (since it could go to someone else), plus that sounds like a symptom of OCD.

Anyone else think it's really faggy how people pretend to get angry at people folding the corners of the pages of their book?
First of all, it's not even your book.
Second, it really doesn't matter the condition of the corner because all the words are elsewhere on the page.
Third, people mostly read cheap paperback books that won't last that long anyway.

The fetishiziation of books as a phsyical object screams reddit
