So this guy sells the rights to all of his books or $1 every time. Are there any other authors that do this?

what are you talking about?

Steven king sells the rights to his books for $1 a pop. It is kind of his thing. I am wondering if there are other authors to do this?
>>8649604
It's for his short stories dumbass. Nobody in their right mind would sell the rights to their book for a dollar.
Is he Fingolian?
>>8650728
No, he's just got a enlarged hymen.

He sold IT and Cujo for $1. Pet Sematary too. it is seriously a thing that stephen king does.

sold the rights? Or took a 1 dollar advance against royalties?
he might not take an advance against royalties because an advance is more or less a loan.
If he can afford to wait a couple years before the royalties checks start coming in, then he doesn't need the advance. And the publisher doesn't charge him interest on the advance until they get their end back.

No. Why do you think all of his books become movies? He sells the rights immediately.
>>8651740
$1 and then 10-20 % of the gross, gives him a solid $20-$30 million take.
he looks like an orc
>>8653717
Yeah but he didn't know it would gross that much.
It's a smart move if you believe the work will be a success, its just a loss if you think it will fail.
