I would like to read snobby British books.
Or at least books that grapple with the British class system, i.e. take it for granted and try to work with it, as opposed to rebelling against it. I get the impression there are very many books of this kind. Picrelated is an example.
Any suggestions, /lit/?

I'm trying to get through that book atm and it is turgid and incoherent.
It's like a scrapbook of confused memories, and not in an artful, Portrait-of-the-Artists-as-a-Young-Man way.
Skim skim skim, screencap a piece of snobbery (e.g. "our sort of England"), skim skim, snobbery, etc. This is hardly better than trawling through newspaper archives. Kill me now.
