The first part is much, much better than the second. The book has its moments, but it's pretty overwritten and didactic.

Maybe not the greatest, but surely it is somewhere at the top. I still think about this book often and sometimes I'll reread the chapters where Alyosha speaks with Ivan.
If it didn't have over 1000 pages I would give a fucc. I already have troubles reading ~200 pages books.
