That means a handful of books that people have in common are going to make the top 10 every time. 4 people may have wildly diverse taste across 4 book choices but they all also chose Ulysses as #5. That's 1 vote for 16 various books, and 4 votes for Ulysses. It's not hard to see why this stuff rises to the top, it's a popularity contest, not a contest of what's the objectively best literature. There's no reason to get upset over it. Some things are generally more popular than other things, but that also doesn't account for or reflect anyone's individual taste.

I think it's more practical when you have that many entries at once to allow e.g. 3 picks out of 15, makes the result a bit more significant and lowers the chances of draws (not asking you to restart obv)
