when reading a book that needs concentration, not that fast.

I can't imagine an existence of someone who feels the need to speed-read artistic works.

In all seriousness, I peak at roughly 700wpm for shallow material, like YA fiction or verbose but simplistic styles. I can read a ~400 page book in 4-5 hours.

Harder reading is obviously much, much slower.
