After hearing some lectures of Alan Watts i got quite interested in eastern philosophy and philosophy in general - does someone have recommendations for good /lit/erature if you are a beginner ? - guess I'm the 1000001 who asks the same question - im thinking about nietzsche, schopenhauer or freud but asian lit would be also a start

The Socratic Dialogues.

Plato. Read the Ion, Euthyphro, Apology, Credo, and Phado in that order. They're all short.
After or while doing that, poke through the Tao to get you started on both Eastern thought and metaphysics. Note that you could spend your entire life pulling things out of the Tao, so don't worry about deeply reading it yet.
This will introduce you to virtually every area of philosophy and get you used to reading philosophical texts.

alan watts is the nickelback of philosophy if music was the nickelback of disciplines.
fyi he was an alcoholic.
read this, then Plato, then anything else you want that isn't eastern philosophy, cause that shit is straight up retarded.
