I said Persian /lit/ not Islamic Mudslime /lit/.
Not strictly Persian, but Edward Fitzgerald's Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam has always been a favourite of mine.
Ah love, could thou and I with fate conspire
To grasp this sorry scheme of things entire,
Would we not shatter it to bits, and then
Remould it, nearer to the heart's desire?

That's Arab.

The Blind Owl is one of my favorite reads ever.
I've read it 4 times already and I always find it fascinating, like I was unable to grasp everything in a single read. Really dense for such a short book.
Having said that, you guys should try Prince Ehtejab by Houshang Golshiri. You can say that some parts of the book share similar feels with Blind Owl and I'm sure almost no one has read it.

For persians, grotesque cultural imperialism desu
I visited Hafez's Tomb a couple years ago, there were mostly youngsters sitting around reading poems to each other or just having fun and discussing. It was a beautiful place. Sa'di's was under renovation but still interesting to visit . Picture is not mine
