Livro do Desassossego is the most overrated piece of garbage in the history of literature
unless you're an angry edgy teen don't bother reading it

How the fuck alquimista sells so well everywhere? I read it trying to find good things as I can't stand some cunts elitists in my uni using PC every fucking second as synonym of shit writer but fuck, they're not that wrong. This book in specific is pretty silly, not the worst shit I ever read tho. But fuck me in the ass, the thread is about base Portuguese literature and Pessoa is GOAT, I wish his production other than poems were bigger.
You're adorable, OP!
Do really really white huehues count?

Let's discuss my favorite English author, James Joyce
>>8599788
I've read this book twice, once for the two schools I studied in, and I enjoyed it both times. It's one of the maybe 5 books I enjoyed reading during my school years. I don't know what that says about me. Mostly I just remember the imagery of factions of nomads on the sand, didn't ever care much for any message it had.
As armas e os Barões assinalados.
Que da Ocidental praia Lusitana.
Por mares nunca de antes navegados.
Passaram ainda além da Taprobana
He knew the whole fucking story by heart, word by word.

But anon, you're an angry edgy teen...
Peregrinação is the best Portuguese book of all-time.
Fuck the haters.
You bitches should try reading something by Cebolo.
"Miguel e Damião amavam-se como irmãos e
cresceram juntos numa quinta onde um criado
os levou a práticas sexuais aberrantes."
Has to be José Maria de Eça de Queirós
I read him in english and he's an excellent writer, easily one of the best I've come across.
