Not that guy but ideas I have.
1) An Obelisk shaped Giant structure in midst of heavily populated city. It has been there since the beginning of time(or when the records were kept for time) . Civilization progresses around it. It cannot be tampered, broken, analyzed etc. The inhabitants quickly start ignoring it. Then send a ship in space. Ship after traveling through worm holes and whatnot reaches a blue green planet with humanoid aliens. There is a replica Obelisks of same sort on this planet. same in every way. Except the one on the blue planet is far from civilization under the ocean. These Obelisks are actually milestone pillars of some sort, used by Some god like alien race to mark territory and treasure.

2) Story of users of /b/ meeting in person after a casual chat as a joke. One is a guy another a girl. They decide to invite more friends on next meetup. The club starts to grow. With collective effort they build a business startup. Quickly fail as they start knowing more about every member. Get harassed by remaining /b. Turns out that other groups have started to jump in to help. Things stabilize and the startup grows to become one of fortune 500 companies.

3) A Geocacher starts finding hidden clues in the finds. These clues are too hard to be kept by normal geocachers. After analyzing them he sees a pattern. Every night he dreams of a new unknown place and coincidentally the clue is directed towards it. Its like Geocaching but for non-marked caches. The contents are mostly poems, drawings, torn pages from random books. The story starts with the caches containing kids stuffs progresses with more mature stuff(the poem and all). The man is i his early 40's. It seems every thing is linked up. These things belong to someone he know, but who?

4) Story of a kid who is poor and wants to buy an old coat that he sees everyday on way to school. Coat is kept in an old shop that sells antiques. Kid stares at the coat everyday. The price tag is 20 dollars. Kid starts saving for the coat. The shopkeeper never seems to sell it to anyone. Story revolves around the kid making sacrifice for the money. Kid tells his obsession to his best friend. Best friend helps him save money. Kid has to spend the money to save his best friend from illness. Eventually he raises money again and goes to the shop. The shopkeeper laughs as the coats price tag is hidden and its 200 dollars. The shopkeeper gives the coat to kid because the kid resembles his dead son. The coat belonged to the dead son. that day the kid realizes that money is not everything. the coat is not everything. The journey to get the coat has turned him into a man from a boy. Oh My Goad them feels..... sorry for bad English.

5) A poor guy is returning home after working as a day labor. The coins, his payment are tied in the torn poncho he is wearing. He is happy, honest and virtuous. Wants to go home early to meet his mother so that they will have food together. In his way there is a procession of a rich guy. He asks them to give him a side. They abuse him and ask him to wait till its done. He cant wait as his mother is hungry. The start fighting and beating him. Throw his money and beat him black and blue. Lying on the side of the road half dead he cry and asks god why have you made poor people like him.
Part two: he becomes rich by odd means. Gambles and becomes the gang leader. Is feared by everyone. One day he is going through the town with all his gang and people. a guy stops his way. The gang members beat him down. He looks out from his car and sees the half dead guy. Goes near him and sits by his side. Starts to weep and ask god. Why have you made people poor like him.

6) An orthodox and strict Muslim man immigrant from Afghanistan in his 60's is the head of family. He earns for the family. The man has a wife, 3 daughters, a son who dies while serving US army and a grandson from his son now dead. The girls are taught strict Islamic culture. Anything to do with any other religion is not accepted. The man did not like the fact that his son was working for the US gov.

No one know what father does for a job. The pay scale is less and they hardly survive. The father does not accept any money from the government. Story takes a strange turn of events when one of the daughter wants to join military and it is found out that the man worked as a Santa Clause for money.
