Did I miss something? I found Hamlet to be underwhelming, and it's possible that I'm too washed by all the works that have come after Hamlet to appreciate it the way it ought to.

Don't get me wrong. There was a lot of great passages, but perhaps I didn't read it "correctly." In fact, I found it much funnier than tragic.

there's nothing wrong with finding it funny. shakespeare blends tragedy and comedy together in most of his greatest works to some extent.
