Genesis is pretty good. I like Judges and Job too. For the new testament Matthew is my favorite of Gospel but only because it was the first I read, a few months before the others. Read all the Pauline epistles in succession so I really can't differentiate between them at the moment.

A generation goes, and a generation comes,
but the earth remains forever.
The sun rises, and the sun goes down,
and hastens to the place where it rises.
The wind blows to the south
and goes around to the north;
around and around goes the wind,
and on its circuits the wind returns.
All streams run to the sea,
but the sea is not full;
to the place where the streams flow,
there they flow again.
All things are full of weariness;
a man cannot utter it;
the eye is not satisfied with seeing,
nor the ear filled with hearing.
What has been is what will be,
and what has been done is what will be done,
and there is nothing new under the sun.
Is there a thing of which it is said,
“See, this is new”?
It has been already
in the ages before us.
There is no remembrance of former things,
nor will there be any remembrance
of later things yet to be among those who come after

I have a hard time deciding which Gospel I like most between Matthew and Mark. Marks appeals to me because it seems more mystical and raw. Matthew strikes a nice balance between Luke and Mark though. It's fleshed out, but still retains a mystic weight to it. I need to read more of the bible though.

You have good taste anon, I always thought that would make a great movie or novel.
Psalms is oc very good in KJV or vulgate, I don't know greek or hebrew and modern translations are gay.
The wisdom literature is good too. You're not a truly edgy anon if you haven't read Ecclesiasticus.

Reading the Bible while bored AF at church fostered my love of history
