Wish people would stop comparing everything to fan fiction just because it shares some settings or characters. But there are lots of works that build on what he wrote such as Shaw's Caesar and Cleopatra and Shakes versus Shav or Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.
