Maybe that is why he dares to speak about the things he speaks about in his lectures. He is not afraid of getting fired as he have options. He even gives that as advice to his students. He says they have to set them selves up so that they have options in the job marked so they can negotiate harder and not put up with bullshit in their jobs. TL;DR University of Toronto is getting taken over by feminist, LGBT community and they are at the same time trying to get new laws in Canada that makes it against the law to use the wrong word when addressing someones gender. So for example if someone is a trans-whatever and they accidentally get called a he or a she then the person that did that mistake gets punished by law. And of course the law is being written in such a way that it can be bent and misused really fucking easily and its quite obvious that the underlying reasons for this is not to make the lives of "LGBT people" easier, but rather its the beginning of literal totalitarianism and they need this law to be in place so they can abuse it and destroy their enemies.

Peterson made this video series where he points out the many many flaws of this law and the dangers of it (as well as pointing out their political bullshit and nefarious motivations, kind of like how Nietzsche saw trough peoples shit and called them on it) and they don't like it so they are now calling him a biggot and trying to get him to lose his job so they can successfully take over the university and over time everything.
