i am a professional writer. there is no way i would want to use one of those apple keyboards full time unless i wanted to shorten my career because of tendinosis. a decent full travel keyboard is a must.

also those apple keyboards are hideously overpriced and don't necessarily last longer than a normal keyboard. i occasionally wear keyboards out. there are lots of decent keyboards that are reasonably priced that will last just as long as one that costs three times as much because it is shiny and has an apple logo on it.

i'm not anti-apple- i use all three major desktop OSs (mac, windows and linux) regularly. i tend to use the same keyboard (and mouse) with all of them.

Original title is "Der Verschollene", it's his third novel the other two being Das Schloss / The Castle and Der Process / The Trial, however it is often called Amerika so it's weird you don't know it, I have the Fischer editions and it's called Amerika there as well

For some reason my copy of the Gesammelte Werke doesn't have it, even though it has everything else by him. It includes Der Heizer but not the rest of the novel. How strange.

Might be because it's Gesammelte Werke, those are often not complete, one of the reason I'm not a fan of those editions. Still seems weird to leave one of the novels out, especially since he's only written three

Well it's weird that it has all of his other works except for that, even the unpublished stories like Beschreibung eines Kampfes and little unfinished things like Der Nachbar and Die Wahrheit über Sancho Pansa. It even has over 40 pages dedicated to something called Brief and den Vater, which seems excessively long for a personal letter.
