Holy shit that ending of The Brothers Karamazov was the saddest thing i've ever read.
God damn why is life so unfair. RIP my man.
Also, thoughts on the book? I'd definitely rate it 5/5 for Ivan and Alyosha's conversation and the Grand Inquisitor chapters + a few parts I really liked.
There was some parts that were a huge drag to get through, but that ending/epilogue and the few main highlights definitely made up for it.

P&V.
The red cover paperback.
I found big sections to be a slog through, and actually found the ending kind of sentimental and hamfisted. Still a beautiful, passionate book, but not a fan of the heavy handed philosophical dialogue

I have the Constance Garnett translation, is it any good?
I just picked it up and am finding the first chapters incredibly boring. Does it get better or am I just not smart enough?
