what does /lit/ think of House of Leaves?

I read it before I became a pseud but it felt like it was intentionally confusing and edgy to me. The Navidson Record parts of it I enjoyed, just not the main character's chapters.
If you read it as a satire/comedy then its a brilliantly funny book.
honestly, it's not a bad book. It's overly edgy and a little try hard but i felt the prose was pretty good and it really hammers it's point down aptly.
I do think it's kinda ridiculous Danielewski took 10 years to write this.
Oh, thanks for reminding me of this. I wanted to read it when I saw it in the book store a while back. I meant to try to find a copy on thriftbooks, but now I'm not sure I should bother.
Honestly, one of my favorite books. I don't really understand how people find it scary though.
