Have you read Tragic Sense Of Life by Miguel de Unamuno?
What do you think, /lit/?
Do we all want to live forever
He explains the human need to believe in God is caused by the human need to be immortal.
I call bullshit.
But
Maybe Im missing something. Probably.
Don't bother, if it's not some anglo postmodern tripe, /lit/ has not read it

I know, friend.
I try to comprehend.
Im reading Schopenhauer, read Nietzsche and Kant before, and 'comprehended'..
but Unamuno... I don't get it.
I get it, but I completely disagree because Im an exception to the rule he stablishes. His way of generalizing that will of immortality in all human beings is pathetic. He should be beyond mere will of survival imposed by nature.

Theres a reason why only human beings kill themselves.
And its not a thing that should be determined case by case. Thats superficial.
Theres a deeper cause.
Well, this is the same thing.
And the reason why I find him pathetic.
