It's easy and fun, probably why it's such a success. It never really blew my mind but maybe that's the point, it's just a book about normal life.

Yeah, and the fact I could relate to him so much. He has an endearing way of writing about the other characters, like how they fill the space of a room etc. I found some parts to be plodding and dull as fuck though.

The first one had some interesting parts, but I liked the second one much more, it has gotten pretty relatable. Can't speak about the rest of them, since I haven't read them yet. Reading one Knausgard book per autumn/winter is pretty much the best I can do.
