Nah, not really. Dante, Milton, Tolstoy are authors who were philosophers, Shakespeare in contrast is something more of a commonsensical anti-philosopher, à la Montaigne.

Real writer-philosophers are Sebald, Kafka and Borges, mateys.

He was a philosophical poet, and his plays and poems deal with philosophical themes and concerns, but he was not a philosopher proper.
