it is not strong by itself but it is recommended because it is a part of the sci-fi development, taking some political near-fantasy and applying it to a sci-fi setting

Because your not a Dinkum Thinkum.. Do like heinlein hints at in the begining and switch Mannys narration and others talk to a Russian accent and everything clicks.
