nah, he just edited and rewrote parts of mary's second draft. the manuscripts show his input vs mary's original. he certainly improves some of the writing and generally humanizes the creature more, but he's still just tweaking her novel. i don't really know if he should be considered a co-author or just a very hands-on editor.
