My own unpublished book, an investigation about the Zodiac Killer.
Final Truth by Donald Gaskins and Wilton Earle is extremely difficult to find, but definitely worth reading if you're into serial killers. It's constructed entirely from transcripts of audio interviews with Gaskins while he was on death row. Whether or not everything he says is true, it does present a completely different version of the south in the 50s than I've ever seen before, and the brutality is described in a very frank way that's unsettling to say the least.

And that's actually pretty low compared to other copies for sale online. I was lucky enough to get a real cheap copy on amazon once, but yeah, it's ridiculous. I'd definitely recommend keeping an eye out for it, though -- if you come across a cheap copy it's worth getting.
