I liked it, it's a parable though and it sort of reads like a kids book.

Thanks but you misunderstood, I mean which book features the best collection of his work, not individual stories.

I'd agree, his writing comes across as didactic a lot of the time but the writing style and imagery is 10/10.

Read P&V's Ivan Ilyich and other stories, I had read two of them (Ivan Ilych and Kreutzer Soanta) which were both superb and translation of Kreutzer was far more superior than that which appeared on Wordsworth (I couldn't even find the name of translator.)
