Will this book be easy for me

I'm on the first chapter of a portrait of an artist

It's interesting but a little hard to get fully invested into, since the main character is a kid and the whole Jesuit say your prayers thing is not easy to relate to if you haven't been through it yourself.

(Non-Troll answer) Much harder. Dhalgren can be confusing, but significant portions of Ulysses are unintelligible if you're not paying close attention.

The writing style in that book matures along with Stephen Dedalus. Joyce was exceptionally good at writing prose that reflects the central character, and the way he implements it in that book, for me, was very effective at making Stephen seem real. It gets really fucking interesting when he appears at the beginning of Ulysses.
