Would /lit/ write articles about internet culture and anything that interests them or channers in general for $10 / piece and proper credits with bios, links?
>>8447887
How long is a piece?
You'll find some people who will write for a penny per word. You'll do better offering more, to a point.
>>8447939
No hard rules, and thematically anything from clickbait to bona fide investigative journalism. The important thing is only that it's something related to or of interest to channers.
I have money to spend on this experiment and I think it'll be great. There is no voice like this out there.
>>8447957
There is.
Check out bunkermag for another (albeit socialist) "experiment".
>>8447965
That's pure politics though.
I want all the voices - /pol/ and the occasional schizo dude as well. Poor man's early Vice without hipster shit and aids.
>>8447982
>That's pure politics though.
But it's run and written by (8)chan.
In any case: "maybe", but you probably won't get actual professional guys, just random faggots who would've done it for free anyway.

Unless you're thinking of outsourcing to poo in loo countries, you can always get $10+ for 2 hours at a supermarket.
If the quality you want is more than that, and it's clear that you do, since you want bios, links, and credits, then you're not going to get very far offering $10 per.
If you actually have money to throw into this, offering triple that amount but screening people would get you something much less worse than backwater /trash/-tier grossness.

>since you want bios, links, and credits
What I mean is the writer gets to create or use any of kind of persona they want and they can promote their social media links. It could lead to work in bigger avenues.
I see where you're coming from on the price, I'm influenced by rates I've seen recently on textbroker (etc) and knowing that Gawker started out paying $12 / each.
>>8447887
I would, desu I'd probably it for free though. I have a masters degree in public administration so I am a 'professional' guy though in terms of writing that is not my primary interest. One thing I've wanted to write about publicly for awhile is how and why the MMORPG genre is dying due to Skinnerization and F2P disease and set out a program for restoring it. Some other issues too, like how Supreme Court justices are appointed and why the USA shouldn't have a president anymore.

Sounds great. A guy from /pol/ talked about maybe writing about Shkreli.
Can I get you to email me so I can put your address in my list and contact you in a few days? I already have almost everything set up including a premium domain name, just a few more minor logistics now and I need some more initial volunteers.
>I'd probably it for free though
No, $10 no matter what and rev share when/if it goes profitable for consistent contributors.

And if you're paranoid about sharing details with a disposable, create a new email and use that. The important thing is you read it in a few days. I'm serious about this project and think it will turn out great for everyone involved. I'll dump traffic on it. A lot of experience with web dev and I've created some of the sites 4chan and 8ch use.
I would be interested in this. Could be would be should be too, since I like skimming the surface of 4chan,breaking its crust and inserting a lump of hard won wisdom in the cesspit before moving on. I tend to do this in /r9k/ but occasionally on other boards as well. If it were set up as easily as blogging,my own page to stuff with whimsy and cross promotion, and "pay" connected to the updates I put to said blog, with Editor in Chief having final say of what was worth a 10 spot today,I would submit an audition piece at least. It IS something I do for free, but to have a place for my ramblings and not have it all flushed from the servers in 48 hours. I would see it as a Hunter S Thompson journey into the blistered heart of Robotville and outlying outreaches. Tell me where and when, sailor. I am certainly game.
let me write about memes and how they spread and turn to shit

sent.

Perfect. You would get your own contributor login on Wordpress and server's not gonna go anywhere, have had this one for almost a decade now. I'm connected from the minute I wake up until I go to sleep and this project is well funded.
Drop me an email and you'll get all the info in a few days.

You too. The more styles we manage to push out right from the get-go, the better chance we have at not feeling locked in to any of them in particular. Keep it fun and different.

Thank you.

I sent an email a while ago, I doubt those 10-minute-mail services have a spam folder but I'm starting to think I got sent to it.
>>8448298
Can you copy in half a sentence from the message body and I'll check?
>>8448303
"especially now that Gawker is no longer a thing"
>>8448303
I just sent. Mentioned STEMfagggery and scientism as one possible topic.
Also you have my real, human name now so please be gentle.
Made a little program that alerts me to 4/8ch posts longer than 1600 characters to see if I can convert some of them into content to help seed it at the start.
If any of the writers want it for story ideas or whatever I'll provide the source code and easy peasy compile instructions for Visual Studio Community (free).
