I read How I Learned to Snap a few years back and enjoyed it immensely. I haven't had much luck finding similar books though, so I'm wondering if any of you have read anything like it.

Pretty gay desu senpai
Mishima wrote a fair amount of gay stuff. This one is pretty autobiographical, Confessions of a Mask is the other one people usually bring up when they discuss his perspective on human sexuality.

gay here
seriously this is 10/10 queer lit
William S. Burroughs and more broadly the Beat Generation. You might want to look at Queer and Junky, the latter of which doesn't make the gay aspects central but it does appear, as Burroughs was a gay drug addict himself. It's a pretty crude perspective on addiction and it kind of fits well into the modern narrative on drugs (that it's there to fill a void, so if everything is going great for you, you most probably aren't going to get addicted).
Thank you very much everyone. These all sound great, and I will definitely try all of them.
