We needed it to avoid degeneration of culture but that was ruined by relativists

but once again destroyed by Millenials, though this spread of relativist cancer has been a recurring theme ever since Bloom wrote his Closing of the American Mind

Philosophy is the induction and questioning steps in that chart. Philosophers are also far better at these steps than the average person.

what happened to chronology. What am I reading. Do you read books?
Philosophy is asking: "What is it? How do we know what it is? How do we react to it?"
Obviously there's more to it but that's the barebones. It's a process of understanding and reacting to phenomena.

You dolt. The whole narrative of Socrates is that Athens is mired in relativism because the Sophists where twisting the moral code of the society for the benefit of the rich. They where like intellectual mercenaries utilizing rhetoric to secure a 'not-guilty' verdict for their wealthy clients.
Socrates does street philosophy, makes fun of supposed sages, and gets killed. Plato writes it down and forms ethical theories.

What do you mean by this? As in, people use the idea of perspectivism as an excuse to be lazy, to not put effort into things, etc.?
If so, it's the other way around. Degenerates ruined the idea of perspectivism. It was never intended to be used to justify one's laziness or general ineptitude. Practically the opposite: what perspectivism implies is that what you think, your world, your values, are all grounded within who you are, meaning they are all worth as much as you are.
