Anyone actually read this? Does it explain Gnosticism better than Foucault's Pendulum? Is there discernible talent? Will Bloom's other fiction book ever be published?
He has another one?

It's unfinished. In an interview, he said he kept it in an attic.

I think I remember him saying something like that, and I also remember him talking about some kind of Walt Whitman musical he was working on. Wonder if these will ever see the light of day.

What I'm really excited for is his "literary memoir" wikipedia says he's working on. I'm hoping for some meme-worthy anecdotes. I hope he hasn't forgot about or abandoned that one. He's said that his book on Elizabeth Bishop might be his last.
Why not just read the original texts?

I just need a spot on review (since 4chan can be good for niche requests), before I bother to read it.

From reading reviews (I haven't actually read the thing) I could see that for the most party readers were bewildered and bored by his constant use of symbolism. I came across many people who said it was just that, a book of symbols. Bloom said it was an embarrassment, although he felt the prose showed promise. If I saw it for cheap, I'd pick it up out of curiosity.
