I'm about to start Blood Meridian. Anything else I should read before starting? Or what other book should I read from this collection?

You should probably read the Border Trilogy before you read Blood Meridian. That way you're used to Cormac McCarthy and his westerns. Or at least read The Crossing before you do Blood Meridian.
Just read it. It's not that difficult and it's totally worth it.
why do people ask this stupid fucking question. just read what ever book it is you have jesus christ.

Because people want their opinions validated since they are fickle creatures.
This is a pretty decent starter pack desu.
Read Siddhartha next, or Stoner.
You don't really need to read anything before Blood Meridian to "get" it or whatever. It was my first McCarthy and I got through it without much trouble. Just keep a dictionary handy and go to google or whatever for the Spanish (unless of course you speak Spanish). The book draws a fair amount from Moby Dick but it's not a big deal if you haven't read it, it's by no means necessary to understand BM

Do you guys make notes in your books (e.g., highlight words and write their definitions, etc.)?

highlight words maybe, but not write entire definitions. That'd just ruin the book.

BOOKS ARE SACROSANCT. HOW DARE YOU BLEMISH THEM.
No, really though, do whatever you want. Just use a something that won't bleed through pages though.

To make sure I won't miss out on anything and get the whole experience.
I found blood meridian hard to follow. I think it was because I didnt have a lot of tiem to read it more than an hour a day.
It maght have been to because english is not my first language, btut that hasnt caused me any trouble before (the spanish parts were also not an issue because i speak spanish too)
