Chuck Palahniuk is my favorite author.
I feel very sad and lonely.

I swear he's related to Beria
If you've read 5 or 6 chuck books, you've read them all.
He needs to tender up or something; less gore, write something beautiful.

Try Pygmy. It's different, and has a somewhat unique narrative framing. I'd also recommend Choke, Survivor, and Rant. Read Rant if you're looking for something weird...and kind of like Terminator/Terminator 2.

Fight Club>choke>Invisible Monsters>Diary then Rant cos Rant'll make no sense if you don't get his tone.
Might actually re-read Rant. What a blast.

Yeah I was thinking about the Grandfather paradox in it a few days ago, and realized I'd need to reread it to understand it.
But yeah, I agree you need to read his better known books before you delve deeper. But I still think Pygmy is a good entry book, but then again I was used to Irvine Welsh books...so the writing didn't throw me off.

All I remember is, remarkable tampon smelling abilities. But yeah I know It took me ages to even half get the book at 16 - was like why they crashing around in cars and shit.
I wouldn't rec. Pygmy for those new to Chuck. I actually stopped reading Chuck when he released Pygmy. Call me lazy, but I couldn't jive with whatever pijin english it was.
Only read Guts. Still the best read I've had in a long time.

Isn't there some kind of thing where you're supposed to read the short story holding your breath?
And I also seem to remember him doing a reading of the story, and people were becoming nauseated. But strangely enough it did not nauseate me.
