Top true crime/serial killer books?
literature is always books, but books aren't always literature.

I liked In Cold Blood but I could've stopped halfway through and gotten just as much out of it.
The more personal nature of this one elevates it over most other true crime, I think. Overall a lot of true crime is written by former detectives, officers, or other people who just aren't particularly exciting writers. Your best bet is to just find cases that interest you and then find any books written about them.
