I hear a lot of praise about this book, many people say it's one of their favorite books. For those of you who have read it, what do you think?
It's one of my favorite books.
The time spent reading that book is not wasted at all. It helped me a lot and i personally think that it is a must read
Was Alyosha cucked?
Father Farapont was a cuck.
It's a big read. But Dostoevsky had such a frantic style you get through it easily
>it's a Dmitri further implicates himself chapter
Most people seem to regard this as their favorite book from Dostoevsky. Should I start here or somewhere else?
How can anyone be an atheist after reading this? Serious question.

Notes from the Underground is the easiest read. Crime and Punishment is closer thematically and not yet completely exhausting.

>Reading for entertainment.
It pales in comparison to Crime and Punishment.
Was my favourite novel until I read Kafka's Trial
Im about 50 pages in. Its setting up the story but i can already see signs of the "wut if god isnt real" navel gazing faggotry that the pseuds love so much

You're misguided. The Brothers Karamazov or C&P is the best start.
Personally, TBK>Notes from Underground>C&P.
This way you'll understand Dostoevsky's christian ideas, and Notes are reffered to in C&P a couple of times. From there, read whatever.

You probably won't read the whole book.
