Its dumbed down as shit but I found it useful. Also it's probably too long. I recommend it if you feel that you're not getting everything out of the books you're reading.

Well he goes over popular tropes and symbols and structures and things that you might not notice if you slept during english class and are now teaching yourself. Just basic shit like Shakespearean themes, the many ways writers have used the bible, the purpose of weather and food in a scene, the basic narrative structures and characters. >>8357021
I dont really know but what I do now is try to read essays or monographs by professors and other novelists which helps a lot. Lectures on youtube too.
